Biography
UKA Level 3 performance coach - speed
The athletes I coach specialise in sprint events ranging from 60m to 400m including hurdles. I have coached the sprint events for over 20 years at Spenborough. To gain experience and to see how high level coaches work I became part of the eastern region coaching committee where I became the lead sprints coach when England Athletics developed the National Coaching Programme. I applied for and was accepted as a member. The NCDP enabled me to work with and alongside some of the top athletics coaches from both home and overseas. I am also a coach mentor for up and coming coaches.
I am also a Level 4 UKA official, volunteering at the 2012 Olympics/Paralympics, 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 European Disability Championships, the 2017 World Championships/Para Games. Along with many other national and international meetings. Chief roles include field referee, technical manager, chief jury of appeal, Meeting manager and Competition Director.
